Family Law Limited Scope Attorney Court Appearances

Why do I Need an Attorney?

Going to family court without an attorney? You might want to reconsider. Court appearances are complicated and can be very daunting, particularly if the other side has an attorney. Don't let yourself be taken advantage of because the other side is more prepared, speaks well in public or has legal representation. Consider hiring an attorney to make a one-time court appearance for you, to deal with either one or all of the issues in front of the court on that particular day.

But I Can't Afford an Attorney

You'd be surprised. A limited scope attorney court appearance in family court is considerably less expensive than hiring an attorney for full representation. We can provide you with an attorney at your court hearing who will do everything necessary to effectively represent you, and we can do this for you on our flat-fee model.

In most cases, a limited scope attorney appearance at court for a hearing will cost between $900 and $1,300 depending on the level of service you need. A limited scope attorney appearance at trial (which is much different than a hearing) will generally cost between $2,500 and $4,000, but could vary depending on your own particular needs. Considering the long-term financial consequences and the potential family hardships that can be imposed by the court's decision, this may be a relatively small price to pay.

If you don't have the budget for a limited scope attorney court appearance, we may be able to at least offer you court coaching and/or a legal brief for a lower cost. Call us to discuss your options.
